Chemistry Awards

  • Outstanding majors in the Chemistry and Biochemistry programs who are eligible will have their work recognized from several academic awards:
    • Hudson-Bergen Chemical Society Award
    • American Institute of Chemists Award
    • New Jersey Institute of Chemists Award
    • Beck Endowed Scholarship
    • Ted Michelfeld Award (Junior Chemistry Major)
    • Elaine Windshell Award (Junior Biochemistry Major)
    • ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Award
    • ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry Award
    • ACS Division of Organic Chemistry Award
    • ACS Physical Chemistry Award
    • ACS Organic Chemistry Achievement Award
    • CRC Freshman Chemistry Achievement Award
    • Westchester Chemical Society Award for Freshman Chemistry
  • Students who partake in a year-long research project with a Faculty mentor are eligible for induction into Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society:




  • Phi Lambda Upsilon (PLU) is the National Chemistry Honor Society and Ramapo College is the Gamma Beta Chapter.
