Natalie Certosimo

Ramapo Success Story

“I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, during the spring 2015 semester at Florence University of the Arts. Although this was not my first time visiting Italy, living there for four months was a completely different experience than taking a vacation. Touring Europe and learning about diverse cultures was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that should be taken advantage of by all Ramapo students. One of my favorite memories while abroad was trying traditional cuisine in each country I visited, such as Swiss chocolate in Switzerland or escargot in France. Studying abroad really helped me gain a sense of independence and responsibility as I had to adapt to living on my own for the first time. Studying abroad also helps you to discover who you truly are and what you would like to do with your future.” – Natalie Certosimo ’16 graduated with a degree in International Business and a minor in Italian.
