Brittany Hooper

While at Ramapo, I studied abroad three times (twice in Spain and once in Costa Rica). I completely fell in love with the world around me and continued to travel upon graduation. I lived in Chile for four months and one year later, in 2018, I began graduate school at Middlebury College, where I studied Spanish Linguistics. During my program, I lived in Madrid, Spain for 10 months and signed a language pledge, stating I would only use Spanish for the duration of my program (this included everything from music to texting – only Spanish!). Upon graduation in 2019, I was hired as a Spanish teacher at the Wooster School in Danbury, Connecticut, where I currently am teaching honors Spanish at the high school level, as well as leading the department as the liaison. Studying abroad at Ramapo led me to so many more adventures and career goals post-graduation and for that, I am grateful!” – Brittany Hooper ’17 graduated as a Spanish and International Studies double major and a Latin American Studies minor. She earned a Master of Arts in Spanish Linguistics from Middlebury College in August of 2019. Brittany is currently a High School Spanish Teacher and Department Liaison for Wooster School.
