Alyssa Maurin

Ramapo Success Story

“I always knew that I wanted to travel, but I wasn’t sure if there would be room in my schedule to do so.  My decision to study abroad ended up being a completely impulsive decision, and I couldn’t be happier that I actually did it. I studied in Argentina for three incredible weeks during the summer of 2012.  It was a faculty-led Documentary Photography class, and we spent two weeks in Buenos Aires and one week in the northern region of Salta.  It was my first time out of the country, and an unforgettable experience.  Although it was a relatively short program, it was definitely life changing.  I not only learned a great amount about photography, but I learned about Argentine culture and history as well.  Most importantly, however, I learned more about myself, and who I want to be.” – Alyssa Maurin ’14 graduated with degrees in Psychology and Visual Arts with a concentration in Photography. In addition to studying abroad in Argentina, Alyssa also studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark during the summer of 2013.
