Aleksandar Goranov

Ramapo Success Story

“My biggest hobby is exploring the world. So far, I have been to 40 countries, lived in seven countries, and out of all my experiences, I enjoyed studying abroad the most. During the summer of 2015, I studied in Australia and in the Turks and Caicos Islands. In Sydney, I was a research assistant at Macquarie University`s Marine Ecology Group. I won the 2015 Arcadia University and Garmelle Le Vin Memorial Research Award for my work there. In Turks and Caicos, I studied Applied Marine Research Techniques in the classroom but also outside of the classroom through fieldwork and scientific SCUBA diving. The opportunities have been awesome.” – Aleksandar “Alex” Goranov ’17 graduated with a degree in Chemistry and minors in Environmental Science and Earth Science.
