Amelia Morgenstern

Ramapo Success Story

“My first time studying abroad was during the spring 2014 semester where I studied in Bangalore, India. The South India program is a Ramapo faculty-led program that focuses on a field-based approach where we were able to take classes and go on field visits to really see firsthand the course material.  By integrating both experiential and classroom learning, we were all extremely successful in learning about Indian culture and society.  This was the start to my interest in international education, and in the spring of 2015 I studied in Kathmandu, Nepal; Amman, Jordan; and Santiago, Chile through SIT’s International Honors Program.  This was such a challenging and rewarding program where I made lifelong friends from across the country. Studying abroad has been such an influential and positive experience for me that I decided on a third and final study abroad experience in Havana, Cuba during the spring 2016 semester.  I am so grateful for the experiences the Roukema Center helped me find and look forward to continuing my passion for international education after I graduate from Ramapo.” – Amelia Morgenstern ’16 graduated with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Human Rights and Genocide Studies.
