Study & Intern Abroad

David Resnick

RCNJ – Development and Sustainability in Bangalore, India (spring 2015)

St. Petersburg State University – St. Petersburg, Russian Federation (spring 2013)

My name is David Resnick and I am currently a junior at Ramapo College. I am majoring in International Studies with minors in Human Rights & Genocide Studies, Judaic Studies, and Anthropology. On campus I am part of the Model United Nations club, Ramapo First Responders club, Hillel, and the Leaders in Service program. I am also a volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. I studied abroad in the Russian Federation in 2013 as an exchange student at Saint Petersburg State University in the Faculty of International Relations.  I‘ve never learned so much about myself as much as I did in those four months in Russia. I got to be immersed in an entirely different culture and way of life, and had to be self sufficient. I had many experiences in Russia that I will never forget, for instance, how I made friends on a cramped train to Moscow, watching the Sunset over the Frozen Gulf of Finland, relaxing at a summer house in the countryside, the excitement and Sadness of Victory Day, as well as the beauty of a country so few people see.  For me, my study abroad experience was a life changing point in my life and one of the greatest things I’ve done in my life Now as a Global Roadrunner, I hope to help people have as great of an experience as I had. I look forward to helping fellow students plan their own adventures!

*Update – David also participated in the RCNJ: Development and Sustainability program in Bangalore, India during his final semester, spring 2015.
