Brandon Bouknight

My name is Brandon Bouknight and I am a Senior here at Ramapo College of NJ. I’m majoring in Contemporary Arts with a concentration in Public Relations and minoring in Music. I am also a candidate for the Business Essentials Certificate and the Event Coordinator for the clubs ALMA and E.R.A.S.E. All my life, I always knew that I wanted to go abroad and experience another culture. One country I was truly fascinated with was England. When I came to Ramapo and saw the many opportunities to study abroad, I knew that this would be my chance to finally fulfill my dreams. In Spring 2012, I studied abroad in London, England while also taking part in an internship. Even though I was nervous at first, especially because it was my first time out of the country, I ended up having a life changing experience that I will always remember. I was able to see the country’s beautiful architecture while also participating in many of the common British activities. While abroad, I also met so many people and ended up creating friendships that will last a lifetime. I think every college student should take the opportunity to study abroad since it is such a beneficial experience in one’s life. As St. Augustine once said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
