This Edward W. and Stella Van Houten Memorial Fund is administered through Wells Fargo. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship support for students enrolled in the College’s ENHANCE Program, a comprehensive therapeutic support program to assist students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Michael Castellanos of Hawthorne, N.J. is a Information Technology Management major and has maintained a 3.8 GPA.
One of Michael’s postgraduate goals is to get a job in the I.T. field, specifically as a web-developer, but his career does not need to be limited to web development.
Another of Michael’s long-term goals is to eventually travel outside the U.S. and explore different countries, as well as filming trains and railway operations in those countries.
Kyle DeSuza of Brooklyn, N.Y. is a Music major and has maintained a 3.3 GPA.
At Ramapo, Kyle is an active member of the ENHANCE Program, Ramapo Smash Club, Esports, and the Geeks and Nerds Club. He is an advocate for autism and friendly to all.
After graduation, Kyle aspires to become a recording artist.
Liam Duffy of Hawthorne, N.J. is a Communication Arts major with a concentration in Filmmaking and a minor in Creative Writing. He has made the Dean’s List during his time in Ramapo.
Liam is an active member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society.
Outside of school, he enjoys writing, video games, running, hip-hop dance, and playing with his dog, Charlee.
Dylan Klain of Garfield, N.J. is a History major with a minor in Visual Arts and Graphic Communication. He has maintained a 3.971 GPA and remained on the Dean’s List since first arriving in Ramapo.
At Ramapo, Dylan has been active in the ENHANCE Program and participated as a speaker in a panel dedicated to discussions of autism. He is also an active member of the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society.
While Dylan is still figuring out his post-graduation plans, he hopes his major and minor will provide a viable pathway into his professional life.
