Myla C. Pasaporte graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore from the School of Nursing in 1990. She started her nursing career at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she worked for three years. In January 1993, she began working with Hackensack University Medical Center in Med-Surg, Cardiology and Care Coordination/Discharge Planning until her retirement in September 2025. She has been active in the American Nurses Association, New Jersey Nurses Association and the Philippine Nurses Association.
