Myla C. Pasaporte graduated from the School of Nursing at the University of Maryland/Baltimore in 1990. She started her nursing career at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she worked for three years. In January 1993, she joined Hackensack University Medical Center in Med-Surg, Cardiology and Care Coordination/Discharge Planning until her retirement in September 2025. She has been active in the American Nurses Association, New Jersey Nurses Association and the Philippine Nurses Association.
