IFC Leadership and Excellence Scholarship

Ramapo’s IFC (Interfraternity Council) men are often considered models of excellence in the classroom and in the greater Ramapo community. This scholarship is meant to award IFC men who not only demonstrate academic excellence but also exhibit leadership qualities in both their organizations and other organizations on-and-off-campus.

Founded in 1910, the North-American Inter-fraternity Conference (N.I.C.) is a federation of 64 men’s national and international fraternities. Undergraduate chapters of the N.I.C. are represented by the I.F.C., which serve to advocate the needs of its member fraternities through enrichment of the fraternity experience; advancement and growth of the fraternity community; and enhancement of the educational mission of the host institutions. The I.F.C. is also committed to enhancing the benefits of fraternity membership. Ramapo College’s IFC was founded in 1989, and there are ten (10) member groups at Ramapo: Alpha Chi Rho, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Alpha Phi Delta, Alpha Sigma Phi, Kappa Sigma, Lambda Theta Phi, Phi Kappa Sigma, Tau Delta Phi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Zeta Beta Tau.

This scholarship is exclusively available for IFC men who have been an active member of their organization for at least one semester.
