FYS Class:

Class of: 2025

Major/Minor: Music Production Major, 4+1 Program

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class: My favorite class would have to be Recording Arts and each course level that it has. It provides a good basis on the equipment and software music production majors will be using in eventual jobs and teaches interesting techniques pertaining to said tools.

Favorite Place on Campus: The atrium would have to be my favorite place on campus due to the variety of good food available for purchase and the fact that my friends have a spot there where we always hang out at.

Clubs/organizations: The Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity and The Beekeeping Club are the organizations that I most actively participate in. I always wanted to challenge myself professionally in the areas of interviews, resumes, and public speaking so I joined Alpha Kappa Psi to help with that. I joined Beekeeping since I felt it was an interesting club to have on campus. It helped let me look more in-depth into the fascinating parts of beekeeping such as taking part in extraction process in-person and it also helped take me more out of my comfort zone.

Future Plans: My future plans consist of getting more familiar with music business through relations with recognized audio/music brands such as Sony, Sirius XM, or Spotify. Also, I would like to purchase a space for a studio and equipment to further the production of my work.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “A man who fears suffering is already suffering from what he fears.”

Advice for First-Year Students: College is a chance to redefine yourself. Put yourself out there and develop skills and relationships that could last you a lifetime. I believe in you!
