Favorite Class: My favorite class has definitely been my Intro to Social Work class. It’s been so cool getting to learn an overview of the field I want to go into and discovering all the different possible career paths within social work. I love how this class has opened my eyes to the vast array of opportunities available to me, and has given me a better understanding of the many different ways that social workers can make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is definitely the fitness center in Bradley Center. I try to go there every day because it’s such a great way to start my day and clear my mind. I love being able to work out before tackling my other responsibilities, and the gym is the perfect place to do that and it’s a really welcoming environment overall.

Clubs/organizations: Admissions Student Aide/Tour Guide, Leaders in Service, Social Work Club, Hillel, and Chabad.

Future Plans: As a Social Work major with double minors in Public Policy and Human Resource Management, I’m excited to explore and delve deeper the various opportunities available within my fields of study. I’m looking forward to completing fieldwork within my major and making connections that will help me achieve my career goals. While I haven’t made any concrete plans for internships or post-graduation employment yet, I’m excited to see where my education and experiences will take me.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “Taking pictures is like tiptoeing into the kitchen late at night and stealing Oreo cookies.”

Advice for First-Year Students: My advice for first-year students is to do spontaneous things and say “yes” more often. Of course, studying is important, but remember, the college experience is more than just academics so don’t forget to enjoy college life and hang out with friends. You’ll make some of the best memories and regret not taking advantage of these opportunities. So go ahead and try new things, join a club, attend events. My philosophy is “what’s the worst that can happen. Take chances, enjoy the ride, and make the most of your college experience!
