Dr. Stacie Taranto, associate professor of history, shared insight in the recent New York Magazine article “The Revolt of the Other Mothers.” Taranto is the author of Kitchen Table Politics: Conservative Women and Family Values in New York, which explores the role that middle-class, mostly Catholic women, played in the development of conservatism in New York as well as the larger shift nationally of “family values” in conservative politics.
