MAHWAH, N.J. – Ramapo College’s Center for Innovative and Professional Learning is offering a new MS Project 2010 Boot Camp as well as a new live online instructor-led Project Management Boot Camp this fall for working professionals. Registration is online and is requested two weeks prior to the first day of each program at www.ramapo.edu/cipl/pmbootcamp

In the foundational in-class and new live online version of the Project Management (PM) Boot Camp, attendees learn the basics of project management, create tools to effectively manage projects such as a project scope statement, work breakdown structure and project schedule, and review risk analysis and how to develop prevention strategies. Three hours of online pre-work is also required.

In-class PM Boot Camp students attend two half-day sessions, and should register for one of the following three available sessions:

Fall Session 1: Wednesdays, September 14 and 21, 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Fall Session 2: Wednesdays, October 19 and 26, 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Fall Session 3: Wednesdays, November 30 and December 7, 12:30-4:30 p.m.

The new online PM Boot Camp, which covers the same content as the in-class PM Boot Camp, takes place over four online synchronous, instructor-led classes that run noon-2 p.m. Dates for the live online class meetings are: September 26 and 28; October 3 and 5; and November 7, 9, 14 and 16.

The new MS Project 2010 Boot Camp is an advanced level workshop where participants gain intensive hands-on experience working with this essential project management tool. The centerpiece of learning for participants is that they construct a detailed, resourced, costed project schedule, and then track that schedule. Attendees also prepare the schedule for presentation using the extensive display features in MS Project, and learn how other MS Office products can be used for both data input and output. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is required, as well as attendance at the foundational PM Boot Camp. Dates are Mondays, December 5 and 12, 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Tuition for the in-class, live online and advanced Project Management Boot Camps is $325 per attendee per course. Three or more employees from one employer each receive a $25 discount.

Registration is completed online at: www.ramapo.edu/cipl/pmbootcamp
