Overview

Through the generosity of the Bergen Highlands Ramsey Rotary Club, the Roukema Center for International Education (RCIE) can provide emergency financial assistance to international students who encounter a crisis situation or unforeseen expense. The financial assistance is available to students in good standing who are faced with sudden and unforeseen financial need. To be eligible for the ISEF, students must have completed a minimum of two semesters at Ramapo College of New Jersey and must be in good academic standing. Students must submit a statement detailing their need for assistance.

The Fund can be used for incidental expenses that are necessary for a student’s ability to be successful at Ramapo, including books, food, clothing, supplies, or travel to an internship. The fund CANNOT be used for tuition, fees or housing.

Eligibility

1. Student must be affected by a disaster, either natural or otherwise
2. Must be a Ramapo College student for a minimum of two semesters
3. Must be in good academic standing
4. Must maintain F1 immigration status
5. If enrolled less than full-time, you must have an approved Reduced Course Load form on file with the ISSS office.
