Flyer featuring a headshot of Priyanca MathurDr. Mathur has worked on refugee rights issues for over two decades. She will speak about her work with the Rohingyas and other refugees fleeing the southeast Asian state of Myanmar and taking refuge in India’s capital city New Delhi and its north-eastern states of Manipur and Mizoram. The lives of these refugees are totally dependent on the ad hoc and politically expedient policies of the Indian State, which is neither a signatory of the UN Refugee Convention nor basing its actions on any national legislation.
