Ramapo Success Story

“During my time at Ramapo, I completed four internships with global companies to compliment my International Studies degree. I had the pleasure of interning at The International Rescue Committee, The National Organization for Women, Global Health Corps, and The U.S. Fund for UNICEF. With the IRC, I got to apply the knowledge I gained about refugees in classes such as International Migration and Human Rights and help newly arrived migrants get culturally adjusted to living in the US. During my time with NOW-NYC, I planned large-scale events combating gender equality such as issues on equal pay and domestic violence. I even got to protest in front of city hall with other feminists from NYC! While working for GHC, I learned the ins and outs of an international NGO while helping to plan the logistics for a conference for global professionals! And with UNICEF, I worked on and attended the 2014 UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City which raised $3.4 million for children around the world. I wouldn’t have been able to have these experience without the excellent staff and classes at Ramapo.” – Brianne Kennedy ’15 graduated with a degree in International Studies. Brianne now works as a marketing executive at The Economist.
