Neal W. Strohmeyer Memorial Scholarship

Triangle is a leading manufacturer of high-performance, precision machined implants, devices and instrumentation for the medical industry. Founded in 1955 by William F. (“Wille”) Strohmeyer, the company is still family owned.

Triangle is based in Upper Saddle River, NJ, where teams of world-class design and manufacturing engineers, programmers, prototype technicians, and quality assurance specialists tackle complex challenges for some of the world’s leading original equipment manufacturers. From design for engineering, process development and dedicated manufacturing cells fully aligned with a world-class quality risk management system, Triangle partners with its clients from concept to market launch using their expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Inspection (DFI) and lean manufacturing principles.

In 2020, Dax Strohmeyer, the company’s CEO, named this award (formerly the Triangle Manufacturing Scholarship) in memory of his late father, Neal W. Strohmeyer, Triangle CEO from 1987 to 2020. Neal had established the Triangle Scholarship in recognition and appreciation of the Ramapo College MBA Capstone Consulting Project, a  fifteen week MBA program where a team of Ramapo students work with an assigned company to solve a real business problem outside of the classroom. Triangle was a participant in this program for the first time in 2019 and was impressed with the work of the students and problem solving the team achieved.

The intent of the Neal W. Strohmeyer Memorial Scholarship is to recognize MBA students who demonstrate innovative thinking, a collaborative spirit, and strong leadership skills.
