Richard Weber Memorial Scholarship

Arnold Weber passed away at the age of 93. Born and raised in Kolo, Germany, Arnold and his family came to the United States in 1951 following World War II and settled in Haledon, NJ. Mr. Weber had a very long and successful career as a professional cabinet maker. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Franklin Township.

Arnold’s son, Richard, was a student at Ramapo College from 1973 and 1977. Sadly, Richard Weber passed away in 1978 just shy of graduation from complications of muscular dystrophy. Arnold Weber’s daughter, Eve, and wife, Elsa, also predeceased him.

To memorialize his son, Mr. Weber generously provided a bequest to the college to establish a memorial scholarship in Richard’s name.
