Michael Jared Weinberg graduated from Ramapo High School and attended Valley Forge Military College and Ramapo College, where he majored in Management in the Anisfield School of Business.

This scholarship is established by his mother, Gale B. Weinberg, upon his death in 2022, to honor his memory by providing a need-based scholarship for a student enrolled in The Ramapo Collegiate Recovery Program, a comprehensive support program that offers stigma-free housing, resources, and health programming for students in recovery.

2024 Recipients

Arielle Gromack

Arielle Gromack is a native New Jersey resident and will be receiving her Bachelor’s of Social Work with a minor in Substance Use Disorders in May of 2024.

At Ramapo, she has been active in the Ramapo Recovery Allies Fusion Organization where she empowers the recovery journey of others and spreads awareness to students, faculty, and staff.

Off-campus, she has also been a peer recovery specialist at The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources.

Arielle plans to have a private practice in the future where she can have clients embrace their journeys, heal trauma, and empower them through the utilization of strengths based perspective.
