Ramapo Staff Association

Ramapo Staff Association Logo

The Ramapo Staff Association (RSA) is an advocacy and community building group designed as a resource to share information about the institution, support our interests as staff, provide social events and discuss trends in higher education as well as new techniques, policies, and procedures as they affect our work. Additionally, RSA is designed to enhance connectivity among its membership while supporting institutional quality and organizational cohesion.

The RSA membership is comprised of unionized and non-unionized staff, however, it does not engage in matters that are the purview of collective bargaining.

RSA E-Board Members

Lisa Ambrose, President

Lisa Ambrose joined Ramapo College in 2018 as Donor Relations Coordinator in Institutional Advancement & the Foundation. She engages the Ramapo community by managing IA/Foundation communication and working on events. Additionally, she is an instructor in the First-Year Seminar and teaches a course on leadership. When she isn’t cooking in her kitchen or volunteering as PTSO president and Girl Scouts troop leader, you can find her curled up (or sprawled out) on her couch watching really bad reality TV shows.

Tim Babasade, Vice President

Tim Babasade ’98 joined Ramapo College in 2015, and is currently the Director of Client Services. When not at work, Tim enjoys hiking, camping, photography, and time outdoors with his family.

Janelle Ferraro, Past-President

Janelle Ferraro ’14 began her career at Ramapo College as a student-aide designer, and was hired full-time in 2015 as a Graphic Designer. Janelle moonlights as an adjunct, teaching a class in graphic design and is the Yearbook Club Advisor. When she is not working for Ramapo, she can be found reading and enjoying her newly owned lake house.

Diane Couzens, E-Board

Diane Couzens joined Ramapo in December 2018 as the Special Assistant to the Provost. She supports new academic programs, special projects, and operations within the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs. She has been a member of the Open Educational Resources Task Force and the Academic Review Committee. As a Member-at-Large, Diane looks forward to strengthening connections among the Ramapo staff and cultivating a supportive and engaged staff community.

Before transitioning to higher education, she worked in performing arts administration and development. Diane received her MM in Flute Performance & Literature from the Ohio State University, and her BM in Flute Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Outside of work, Diane can be found meal prepping, hiking, and chasing after her puppy.

Christine Millien, E-Board

As both a first-generation American and first-generation college graduate, Christine Millien recognizes education as a gateway to success and opportunity. Finding a home within higher education with the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program, she values the ability to assist students in achieving their fullest potential. With a passion for supporting underrepresented communities, Christine takes pride in leading from a holistic approach. A light-hearted and caring individual, Christine lives to create “good vibes”. Outside of Ramapo, Christine is the Director of the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking’s Internship program, a speaker, and will be obtaining her MBA in December 2022.
