Class of: 2027
Major/Minor: Biology/Pre-Med
Resident/Commuter: Resident
Favorite Class: I would consider my favorite class to either be Fundamentals of Biology Lecture 1 with Dr. Petro, or General Chemistry II with Professor Carreon, I feel like these are two prominent classes in my area of study that I have really been pushed to learn and through the excellent style of teaching I have been able to grasp the concepts well.
Favorite Place on Campus: I would consider my favorite place on campus the Track. Considering the fact that I am a track and field athlete, I am often there with my teammates practicing. I really like the dynamic of the team and the way I can dedicate myself to the sport, and the Track symbolizes that. The sport helps me be who I am, and through that the track emboldens that concept.
Clubs/Organizations: I feel the most prominent organization I belong to is the Track and Field team for Ramapo. It has been something that I’ve been doing since 8th grade and track has become a fundamental characteristic of mine. I find it to be a great cause of my strengths and without it I would not be able to be as successful without it.
Future Plans: I would love to study abroad or do some medical and sport like type internships over the summers to help broaden my experiences. I would like to go to graduate school and work on going into the world of Sports Medicine and perhaps down a route of Orthotics and Prosthetics.
Favorite Inspirational Quote: “If you don’t have confidence, you’ll always find a way not to win.” – Carl Lewis
Advice for First-Year Students: Do not be afraid to get yourself out there. As an introvert myself I personally love to sit back and do absolutely everything out of the spotlight, however that doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to sitting alone all day. Find what you enjoy and go out and engage in it. Find people who are like minded and do something with them. Do not just sit back and let your life unfold without any of your involvement. You don’t want to look back and relive a life that you could have had, so make sure to go out and live life with as little regrets as possible.
