FYS Class:

Class of: 2028

Major/Minor: Nursing Major with a Minor in Public Health

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class: My favorite class at Ramapo was my FYS class called Issues in Healthcare. I enjoyed this class because it brought up a lot of relevant medical information which gave me a better understanding of healthcare and exposed me to knowledge that will be useful for my future career.

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the Dunkin because I can sit and get some work done or grab a coffee with my friends. It’s in a convenient location and has the most delicious food.

Clubs/organizations: As a nursing major, I am a part of the Nursing Student Organization (NSO) which organizes study sessions and small service projects. I love being in this club because it allows me to connect with other nursing majors and support my peers. I am also a member of ENACTUS which hosts meetings to maintain sustainability projects, such as upcycling tires into dog beds.

Future Plans: After graduating and becoming a registered nurse, I plan on securing a job in the ER/ICU within a hospital and making a difference in people’s lives. I also hope to pursue my Master’s Degree later in life.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” – Nelson Mandela

Advice for First-Year Students: A piece of advice I would give to first-year students would be to introduce yourself to as many people in your classes as possible. It’s such an easy way to meet others and can lead to long-lasting friendships!
