Ramapo College to Host “Community Resilience Planning: Getting Beyond Climate Disasters” November 1

(MAHWAH, NJ) – Ramapo College of New Jersey has joined with Sustainable Jersey, the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Barnegat Bay Partnership, and the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions to present a workshop titled, “Community Resilience Planning: Getting Beyond Climate Disasters.”

The workshop will equip Northern New Jersey residents with the proper tools and approaches to withstand harsh weather conditions and natural disasters and encourage participants to confront natural disasters through a combination of, planning, mitigation, and adaptation. The program will include a networking session, panel discussions, and guest speakers who will focus on different aspects of resilience planning.

The workshop will be held in Friends Hall at Ramapo College on Friday, November 1from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. An optional lunch is available for a fee of $10. Register online at communityresilienceworkshop.eventbrite.com.
