The ESPN New York radio host and New Jersey Devils broadcaster returns to Prudential Center, where his voice now defines the game.

Mahwah, N.J. – Ramapo College of New Jersey is pleased to announce that alumnus Don La Greca ’92 will address the undergraduate and graduate degree candidates at its 2026 Commencement Ceremony.

A familiar voice to sports fans across the region, La Greca recently became the broadcast voice of the New Jersey Devils on MSG Networks and is co-host of ESPN New York’s Don, Hahn & Rosenberg. Before his professional success, La Greca was behind the microphone at Ramapo’s WRPR radio station—an experience that helped launch a decades-long career in sports broadcasting.

“Graduating from Ramapo College is one of my proudest achievements,” said La Greca. “Addressing this year’s class on their big day is truly an honor.”

La Greca recently returned to campus as part of the College’s Presidential Speaker Series, where he joined Ramapo College President Cindy Jebb for a fireside chat on the changing world of sports, including the rise of women’s athletics, the influence of data on the game, and the intangibles that define team success. He also spoke about being a first-generation college student and how Ramapo shaped his path.

During his visit, he brought his professional journey full circle, broadcasting his ESPN New York radio show live from the WRPR studio where he first discovered his passion.

“We are proud to welcome alumnus Don La Greca ’92 as our Commencement keynote speaker,” said Jebb. “Don’s career reflects the power of a Ramapo College liberal arts education — communication skills, curiosity, and the confidence to engage thoughtfully with the world around him. His journey from Ramapo to one of the most recognizable voices in sports media is an inspiring example for our graduates as they prepare to put their own education into action.”

La Greca has been a fixture on ESPN New York radio since its launch in 2001, following early roles with the Sports Phone service and as a sports anchor for 1010 WINS. He was a longtime co-host of The Michael Kay Show and, in January 2025, became co-host of Don, Hahn & Rosenberg.

A respected voice in hockey broadcasting, La Greca has called NHL playoff games and served as the play-by-play announcer for Game 1 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final—an experience he described as “a dream come true.” In 2025, he was named the new television play-by-play voice of the New Jersey Devils on MSG Networks.

La Greca is a 1992 graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts. At WRPR he was an everyman, doing the heavy metal show “The Beast is Unleashed,” while also serving as the sports director, news director and doing play-by-play for baseball and basketball.
