(Mahwah) – The Ramapo College Foundation’s 2008 Distinguished Citizens
Award Dinner, to be held Saturday, March 8 at the Rockleigh Country Club, will honor four distinguished citizens for their personal and professional commitment to advance higher education, and for their significant service to the community; James E. Jaworski, a Ramsey resident and 1981 Ramapo College graduate, who is a partner in the law firm of Wells, Jaworski, Liebman, LLP in Paramus; Drew Nieporent, a resident of Ridgewood whose son, Andrew, attends Ramapo College, and who owns the Myriad Restaurant Group headquartered New York City; Patricia B. Shrader, a resident of Ringwood and the senior vice president of Corporate Regulatory and External Affairs for BD in Franklin Lakes; and Edward P. The Bud Maltin Orchestra, whose repertoire includes rock, disco, swing, Motown, Latin, reggae, standards and R&B, will provide entertainment.

The annual benefit dinner, now in its twenty-sixth year, raises funds for student scholarships, college capital projects and faculty research.  The evening will
begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by the dinner program, dancing and a silent auction.  For more information, please contact the Foundation office at 201.684.6834 or email lkloak@ramapo.edu.
