A commemorative concert for the 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, the ‘night of broken glass’. It will be held under the auspices of the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Temple Beth Haverim Shir Shalom. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature the Madison String Quartet, pianist Itay Goren and baritone Steven Scheschareg in a unique program that will include Schoenberg’s Ode to Napoleon, Shostakovich’s Piano Trio no. 2, and works by Samuel Barber, Max Brand, Hermann Leopoldi and Veniamin Fleishman. Also participating in the program is Cantor David Perper, who has served Beth Haverim Shir Shalom for 13 years.
