Kirara Fried

Education

Kirara Fried (Pronouns: she/her/hers) holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah. She is in pursuit of continuing her education to receive her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Professional Experience

Kirara works with the ENHANCE program on the Ramapo College campus as a Peer Mentor to students in the ASD population. She serves as a support to students by offering academic assistance in navigating assignments and aiding in building responsibility through the use of a planner and other tools. She also performs a check-in of mood weekly, and holds one-on-one meetings with students weekly to help them work through any obstacles they may be facing, while setting goals in a collaborative manner with the student.

Professional Interests

Kirara collaborates with various clubs and organizations on campus to advocate for mental health and host stress-reduction events such as “Wellness Is Now Presents: Treat Yourself with Wellness.” Her other professional interests include advocating for students in the ASD population through hosting and volunteering at tabling events. She strives to continue working with clubs and organizations to use her voice as a social worker to promote education on how autism presents and how various methods can be used for stress reduction in one’s life.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Kirara enjoys cooking, baking, singing, hiking, interior design, video games, and playing the card game Magic: The Gathering.
