“As a self-taught musician, I was ambivalent toward attending college as a music major. However it was immediately apparent that I had much to learn. Courses at Ramapo College began to refine my skills as a composer and songwriter, taught me intriguing history and exposed me to thought-provoking angles of the contemporary music industry. During my sophomore year, I received an email about a new study abroad opportunity for music students in the UK and immediately knew I was interested. After careful planning with my advisor, I was able to participate and study abroad in Cambridge, UK for my first semester as a senior. My time abroad has influenced me greatly as a musician and student, exposing me to worldly perspectives and rich musical cultures that leave me eager to travel more once I graduate. I am now preparing to make the most out of my final semester at Ramapo College in Fall 2015 by finding the perfect internship in New York City and continuing to produce my own music.” – Todd Stecher ’16 graduated with a degree in Music with dual concentrations in Music Industry and Music Production.
