“I studied abroad in Bangalore, India, during the 2014 spring semester. The four months I spent there were extraordinarily remarkable and transformative. India is such a captivating and eye-opening place – the languages and dialects, the delicious variety of curries, the different types of clothing and transportation made it such a unique experience for me. I also had the opportunity to work on a farm while carrying out my independent research project, which was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The time that I got to spend on the farm showed me that having the courage to live the life you want to live is what really makes you successful and happy. My semester in India is something that I will forever cherish and hold close to my heart because it undoubtedly helped mold me into the person I am today.” – Jeffrey Bendett ’15 graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Philosophy and International Studies.
