Gisselle Arce

Ramapo Success Story

“As an International Studies major I needed to gain international experience in order to complete my graduation requirements. Little did I know my study abroad experience was going to change my life. I studied in Sevilla, Spain at La Universidad Internacional de Menéndez Pelayo. I had no idea what to expect and I was blown away with all Spain had to offer. The rich history of Seville enchanted me from the moment I rode into the city to meet my host family. I made new friends who came from different parts of the U.S. and met students from China who were studying abroad in the same university. The whole experience enabled me to come ‘out of my shell’ since I am basically a shy person. Now I feel I am more outgoing and love talking with and meeting new people. I urge anyone to go and study abroad because it is an amazing experience that opens doors to new possibilities.” – Gisselle Arce ’14 graduated with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Human Rights and Genocide Studies.
