Rachel Britton

Ramapo Success Story

“My first experience studying abroad was in the summer of 2014 when I went on a three- week program to Copenhagen, Denmark, with DIS taking a course entitled “Prostitution and the Sex Trade,” which corresponded directly to my Women’s and Gender Studies minor. I spent the spring semester of 2015 in Bangalore, India, with Ramapo’s faculty-led South India program. This program complemented my Environmental Studies major. Both of these programs were very hands-on and I was able to see first-hand the effects of the topics which we were studying. Study abroad has been the highlight of my time so far at Ramapo and I have learned much more through traveling and experiencing my coursework than I could have ever learned from a classroom.” – Rachel Britton ’16 graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
