Miranda Wyatt

Miranda Wyatt

Miranda Wyatt was born in raised in Monmouth County, NJ. While at RCNJ she worked for Residence Life while maintaining a fully loaded class schedule and interning at companies like Raider Publishing International. Shortly before graduating in May, 2012, Miranda landed a full-time position with a local digital solutions company as their lead marketing coordinator.

“Despite my lack of business studies, the CEO really believed in me and offered a position with great learning opportunities. Since then, I’ve taken the ‘bull by the horns’ and fell in love with the communications industry.”

Miranda explains it was her Literature major and internships that caught the eye of the CEO, “he majored in Communications in his undergraduate career, so he related to me on that level. It didn’t hurt that I once interned with ABC, either!”

At her job, she has taken on a number of responsibilities that exercise her writing, editing, and reading skills, including press release and blog writing, and even newsletter management.  Two initiatives she successfully implemented are a standing internship program that recruits RCNJ students as possible interns, as well as, a strong relationship with the Cahill Center as a presenting company at many student/executive networking events.

“It has been great being able to give back to my college in some way. I really enjoy sharing my experiences and accomplishments as means of inspiration and guidance to other Roadrunners, but also being able to speak to them about the many opportunities available to them at my company. It’s a win-win.”

Currently residing in Essex County, Miranda continues to practice and learn about communications at her full and part-time jobs. She hopes to one day lead a marketing department at a publishing company.
