Kevin Hurtado

“I started to develop my leadership skills after completing the Sophomores Advancing In Leadership (SAIL) program. Shortly afterwards, I received a position as the Violence Prevention Program Coordinator in the Women’s Center as well as an e-board position in the Diversity Action Committee Student Club. Since Ramapo is a small school, it is easy to find ways to get involved as long as you seek them out. All the opportunities offered at Ramapo contribute to the students’ professional development. I am currently a general marketing intern at Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation in New York City where I work on projects for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey II, The Ailey School, Ailey Arts-in-Education and Community Programs, and Ailey Extension. The Ailey company has gone on to perform for an estimated 25 million people at theaters in 48 states and 71 countries on six continents — as well as millions more through television broadcasts.” – Kevin Hurtado ‘16 graduated with a degree in International Studies and a Business Essentials Certificate.
