Giovanna LaMonica

“The Law and Society Program at Ramapo College has allowed me a safe space to grow not only as a scholar but also as a person. Having such small class sizes has allowed me to not only form a relationship with my professors but with my peers as well. This program has provided me with a safe space for healthy and impactful conversations regarding tough topics about the ways in which law plays out in our everyday lives and critical conversations about its impacts on society. Not only do I have the opportunity to learn about the laws themselves, but I am able to view the laws through this unique academic lens. This program has given me the support and encouragement to continue to work toward my goal of attending law school after graduation as well as connecting me with countless of other students who are working toward the same aspirations. The sense of community that I have felt within the Law and Society Program as well as at Ramapo as a whole has been integral to the amazing experience that I have had thus far and what the future will bring.” – Giovanna LaMonica ’25 is a Law and Society major with a minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
