Colleen Moran

Ramapo Success Story

“I have always had a strong interest in traveling and learning about other cultures, so I always knew that I would spend some time studying abroad in college. After my sophomore year I spent just a month in Madrid and I took language courses. I came back to Ramapo in the fall and knew I needed to return to Spain so I applied to spend the spring semester in Seville. While there, I lived with an incredible host family and had a roommate from the Chicago area. There is nothing I would change about my experience because the opportunities I had abroad were once-in-a-lifetime and I know that I may never be able to travel around Spain and Europe for an extended period of time again in my life. From hiking in Northern Spain to being a tourist in Italy, the memories I made during my time spent abroad have shaped me to be a better, more responsible and braver person” – Colleen Moran ’15 graduated with a degree in Spanish Language and Culture and was in the Secondary Education teaching program. Colleen is now a Spanish Teacher in Ramsey, N.J.
