Cara Daniello

“I can honestly say I couldn’t have found a better fit for me than Ramapo College. I was given so many opportunities that challenged me to go outside of my comfort zone, and I am so grateful for every day I got to spend at Ramapo. I can confidently look back at my time at Ramapo and smile, because I know, without a doubt, that the faculty, staff, and I did everything possible to ensure that my four years at Ramapo were phenomenal.” – Cara Daniello ’15, a Communication Arts major with concentration in Writing and double minor in Literature and Creative Writing, received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in Writing. She was a member of the College Honors Program and served on its Executive Board for the past two years. In addition to being a Peer Facilitator since her sophomore year, she was a member of the Rock Climbing Team and the American Democracy Project for four years. She presented at the American Democracy Project National Conference and completed a marketing internship with Wiley Publishing. Last summer she was a Production Assistant and Script Supervisor on a professional film shoot. Cara was a national finalist in the 2014 Ladies of Laughter comedy competition and performed with the Ladies of Laughter two years in a row at the Berrie Center. Cara has been submitting her feature-length screenplay, “The Fun in Dysfunctional,” which was her Senior Honors Thesis and Writing Capstone project, to various film festivals. She is applying to Columbia University’s MFA program in screenwriting, and plans to pursue a screenwriting career. Cara currently works at Huntington Learning Center.
