Amber Smith

“My college experience at Ramapo has been so rewarding with challenging classes, on-campus involvement, work experience and academic conferences. I have also established lasting friendships and faculty relationships and cannot believe that I will be graduating in May 2016! Time has moved so fast, but Ramapo has given me the opportunity to further my education and follow the career path of a physician’s assistant with confidence. I completed my first biology co-op at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, N.J. in conjunction with the college. That experience allowed me to implement my knowledge from in-class discussions and the textbook into real-world situations. I just recently became a Patient Care Associate at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ where I was placed on a cardiac/telemetry unit and hope to stay.” – Amber Smith ’16 graduated with a degree in Biology and was a member of the College Honors Program. She worked on researching manipulating MC3T3 cells with Professor Owen during an Independent Study and also worked as a student aide for the Biology Lab.
