“I attribute much of my success story to my invaluable education at Ramapo, where I pursued my Masters in Social Work. As a graduate student, I underwent a profound transformation, realizing the vast potential of social workers in the realm of education, far beyond conventional roles. It was during my time at Ramapo that I had the privilege of completing a field placement with the esteemed Residence Life Department, an experience that allowed me to apply my social work knowledge in a practical setting. Working directly with students living on campus, I witnessed firsthand the impact I could make by employing my knowledge to support and guide them.

Upon graduation, I embarked on a fulfilling journey within higher education, dedicating myself to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for students. Over the years, I honed my skills and expanded my horizons, continually seeking new opportunities to empower young minds. Through this unwavering commitment, I eventually transitioned to a prestigious boarding high school, where I assumed the role of Dean.

Today, as a Dean, I am deeply gratified to continue my mission of empowering students, fostering their academic excellence, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Reflecting upon my journey, I am profoundly grateful for the foundation laid at Ramapo, which provided me with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to make a lasting impact. I remain dedicated to leveraging my social work expertise to guide and inspire young individuals, helping them carve a path toward a prosperous future.” – Najee Evans ’20 graduated with a Master of Social Work.
