Dawn Wilkenfeld

“From the moment I stepped foot on Ramapo’s campus, I could picture myself as a Roadrunner.” – Dawn Wilkenfeld ’17 graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Psychology and a N.J. State Teaching Certification. Dawn is currently working as a Graduate Assistant with the Center for Student Success at Ramapo College while pursuing her master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education.

At Ramapo, Dawn was an active member of many organizations, including Greek Life, Ramapo Admissions Student Ambassadors, the College Programming Board and the Residence Hall Council. She also worked as a research assistant and presented her research at conferences in New York City, Boston and Milwaukee. Dawn also spent time volunteering for the Student Literacy Corps whose main focus is to empower students and prevent illiteracy. Through reciprocal learning, Dawn tutored students in Paterson, N.J.

During her time at Ramapo, Dawn was inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society, the National Society for Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society, Psi Chi Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. She also was the recipient of the Dean of Students’ “Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities,” the Psychology Convening Group’s Faculty Distinction Award and Outstanding Leadership by a First-Year Student.

As Dawn said, “College is having a sense of community; college is preparing for the future; college is creating lifelong friendships. I found all of that (and more) here at Ramapo College.”
