Nicole Baez

Nicole's Ramapo Success Story Headshot

“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ramapo, with its breathtaking campus and the passionate professors who took the time to get to know me and introduce new concepts to me. Professor Carol Bowman in the Contemplative Studies Minor, among many others, helped me develop essential skills such as reflection, deep breathing, and the importance of self-care. The social work internship within this minor gave me the confidence to incorporate facilitation of mindfulness meditations with clients in both English and Spanish. Now I volunteer with Mindfulness Center at Ramapo and practice weekly meditation there and within my spiritual community. ” – Nicole Baez ’19 ’20 graduated with a Bachelor’s of Social Work, Minor in Contemplative Studies and her Master’s in Social Work from Ramapo College. While at Ramapo, she was a member of the Tau Sigma Honor Society, Phi Alpha Honor Society, and was Vice President of Active Minds from 2018-2019.
