Success Stories

Jack Nesmith

For four years, Ramapo College has become a place I call “home”. I am thankful for the many opportunities, experiences, and amazing leaders I had the honor of working with as an undergraduate. As a proud EOF alumnus, former Resident Assistant, and First-Generation college student, I had the honor of meeting many mentors, professors, and friends during my time as a student leader. What makes Ramapo special is the community made up of both academic leaders and student leaders. The supportive staff and faculty members embrace the students of Ramapo as “family” enabling an amazing and supportive educational experience.

As an alumnus, Ramapo will always be in my heart as a place that helped me grow as a leader. Working with departments such as Residence Life, The Educational Opportunity Fund, CAFFYE, and many more outstanding departments on campus helped me achieve academic and leadership success. I am so thankful to be a proud roadrunner and wish the best to all of the current and future student leaders at Ramapo. As a current graduate student, I carry the lessons I learned at Ramapo to help inspire younger leaders and encourage them to reach their dreams within Student Affairs. I am thankful for all the mentors and friends I made at Ramapo as they have helped make me the young professional I am today.” – Jack Nesmith ’14 graduated with a degree in Psychology and is now working as the Graduate Residence Director, Co-Advisor for the Rho Alpha Sigma Resident Advisor and House Manager of the Honor Society at Rider University.
