Erin McKenna

Ramapo Success Story

“When I first came to Ramapo, my main goal was to be actively engaged. Through my involvement, I have created lifelong friendships and improved on my leadership skills. Not only do I love the organizations I am involved in, but they have also encouraged me to live by my favorite quote, ‘Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.’ During my time here, I have been given many opportunities to grow and challenge myself. Although some opportunities have been nerve-racking, some of my best moments have come when I stepped out of my comfort zone. There is so much to explore in life. But I know that the support I have gotten from Ramapo will only push me to continuously do my best and pursue my dreams.”- Erin McKenna ’18 graduated with a degree in a Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in International Business. She received the Outstanding Leadership by First Year Student (April 2015) and Outstanding Leadership by a Sophomore (April 2016) awards.

Erin was actively involved with the Student Government Association (President 2016-2017, Vice President 2015-2016, Senator at Large 2014-2015), Peer Facilitation Program, Sister of Alpha Omicron Pi, Phi Beta Delta International Scholars Honor Society (Vice President 2016-2017), Golden Key Honor Society, National Society for Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. Erin participated in the Alternative Winter Break trip to the Natuwa Macaw Sanctuary in Costa Rica. She worked as The Fund for Ramapo College Coordinator in the Office of Institutional Advancement. As a student ambassador and tour guide through the Office of Admissions, she had the opportunity to give the student welcome speech during the Admitted Student Days and Open Houses during Spring 2016.
