Paola Bermedo-Sturla

Ramapo Success Story

“My experience at Ramapo College was excellent. Classes for the most part were small and that allowed time for professors to get to know their students. As a student, I was always encouraged to excel and explore my interests. Choosing Ramapo was the best decision I ever made.” – Paola Bermedo-Sturla ’15 was recognized as the Outstanding Student in Spanish Language Studies at the 2015 Academic Achievement Awards. She completed her double major in Spanish Language Studies and International Studies. While at Ramapo, Paola was a member of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society; Sigma Ioata Rho, the International Studies Honor Society; and Alpha Sigma Lamda, which honors scholarship and leadership. Paola received the Sykes Family Scholarship and the Francis K. Hackett Scholarship. She worked full time while completing her degree. Her longer-term goal is to complete a doctoral degree and become a college professor. During the spring of 2016, Paola became a full-time Spanish teacher at North Hunterdon High School.
