Maria Poznahovska

Ramapo Success Story

“I had no doubt that Ramapo had prepared me to study at the graduate level. The work I had done in the literature department, as well with professors in sociology, anthropology and communications, offered me theoretical and practical experience that I still carry with me today. I continue to keep in touch with Ramapo professors who have been valuable resources and mentors, both inside and outside of the classroom.”- Maria Poznahovska ’12 graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Literature and received her master’s degree in Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently a Carnegie Mellon University Interpretation and Argument Instructor and is pursuing her Ph.D. in rhetoric. Maria has also worked as an interpreter, teacher and a legal editor at a law firm. While at Ramapo, Maria taught Critical Reading and Writing and worked with Professor Todd Barnes on research regarding the “Rhetoric of Food.”
