If you have reached this page while preparing for the placement process, we encourage you to know that the Practicum Education team works closely with students to support thoughtful and individualized placement planning.

The A–Z list of social agencies that was previously available on this page is no longer published. Students are not expected to review or identify agencies on their own as part of the practicum placement process. The Social Work Practicum Education Department maintains a robust network of partnerships with agencies across New Jersey and New York and works directly with students to identify appropriate practicum placements. The placement process is supported and coordinated by the Practicum Education team.

Students are not expected to have placement arrangements in place when completing practicum materials. When identifying areas of interest, students are encouraged to think broadly about populations or fields of social work practice. Any agencies students may mention are used only to help inform the placement process and may reflect prior experience, employment, or independent research; they do not represent placement decisions.

If a student has already had organic, pre-existing contact with an agency and has reason to believe the agency may be open to hosting an intern but does not currently partner with Ramapo College, they may submit an Agency Information Form for consideration by the Practicum Education Department.
