Lighting Studio

Welcome to the Lighting Studio

Here in the Lighting Studio our Contemporary Arts students learn to create powerful portraiture and still-life with the use of professional LED and strobe lighting equipment.

Our state-of-the-art equipment includes:

  • Hensel Integra 500 Monolights
  • Portable GVM 800D-RGB LED Lights
  • GVM P80S LED Lights
  • Light modifiers including reflectors, umbrellas, softboxes, honeycomb grids, snoots
  • Cyclorama, seamless backdrops, greenscreen
  • Copy stand

Restricted Use

Use of the Lighting Studio is restricted to students in the following courses: Arts 206 Black & White Photography, Arts 207 Digital Photography, Comm 263 Photography for Designers, Arts 328 Portrait Photography, and other upper level photo classes including: Arts 315, 318, 324, and 406.  Other CA courses may be approved on a case-by-case basis, as well as Visual Arts majors and students who previously received training on our studio equipment.

Reservations

Students may schedule their own appointments in 1-hour blocks on this Google Appointment Schedule

Appointments may last up to 3 hours.  Students may have two standing reservations at a time unless otherwise specified.
