FYS Class:

Class of: 2028

Major/Minor: Nursing

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class:My favorite class is introduction to psychology. Not only is the content fascinating, but my professor is amazing (shout out to Professor Cole). She is thorough with the material, shares personal experiences as a professional psychologist to keep the class interesting, and wants you to succeed in her class!

Favorite Place on Campus: The library is my favorite place on campus because it is a nice quiet place to study and do work. My friends and I love to reserve a study room and do our work together. The library also houses Ramapo’s on-campus Starbucks (sweet treats and yummy drinks are essentials while studying!) and the Center for Reading and Writing, which is an extremely helpful resource. The views from the fourth floor are incredible, too, especially at dusk when the sun is setting.

Clubs/organizations: I am part of the Nursing Student Organization, the American Cancer Society, United Asian Association, Filipino American Student Association, and Hiking Club.

Future Plans:I hope to study abroad before I start my nursing clinical rotations. After I obtain my nursing license and complete a few years of staff nursing, I want to become a travel nurse so I can do the two things I love- helping people and traveling!

Favorite Inspirational Quote:“This moment is temporary, and you can make it through.”

Advice for First-Year Students:It’s your first time at college, and like anything else, it takes time to learn how to navigate and adjust to the newness of college. Experiencing challenges and failure is inevitable, so don’t be too hard on yourself and have fun!
