FYS Class:
Class of: 2026
Major/Minor: Accounting Major (4+1)
Resident/Commuter: Resident
Favorite Class: My favorite class that I have taken thus far is Honors Studies in the Arts and Humanities with Professor Stephen Rice. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the themes of Utopia and Dystopia found in media throughout history. Additionally, the class was structured as an open discussion, rather than a lecture, which I found intellectually stimulating and fun!
Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the Learning Commons. I love getting my work done in the library with a great view of the mountains. Plus, working in a public setting motivates me to be more productive!
Clubs/organizations: As a Resident Assistant for the Village Apartments, I work to foster a welcoming, safe, and supportive community where residents feel at home. I’m committed to building connections, promoting inclusivity, and being a reliable resource for those I serve. Additionally, I am the Treasurer of RCNJ Birding, Ramapo’s birdwatching club! We take advantage of the many great hiking spots near campus, such as the Ramapo Reservation, to spend time in nature and learn more about the local wildlife!
Future Plans: After graduation, I will continue working toward completing my Master of Science in Accounting through Ramapo College’s 4+1 program, having already begun the graduate coursework during my undergraduate studies. I also plan to begin the process of obtaining my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of New Jersey.
Favorite Inspirational Quote: A personal mantra I often rely on is: “It will all get done.” I created this phrase as a reminder that I’m capable of handling whatever comes my way. It helps ground me during stressful moments and reinforces my belief that with focus and persistence, everything will fall into place.
Advice for First-Year Students: A piece of advice I would give to first-year students is to get involved on campus! Joining clubs, organizations, sports teams, and attending campus events are great ways to support your social and emotional well-being. Take advantage of every opportunity and make the most of your college experience!
